Il Sereno Lago di Como is a small and intimate ultra-luxury hotel in the iconic shores of Lake Como. Respecting its natural and historical surroundings, the hotel joins a select group of illustrious properties in this exclusive destination. Building on the success of Le Sereno St. Barth’s, the owners joined forces with Milan-based designer Patricia Urquiola to introduce a contemporary and more relaxed interpretation of luxury, design and personalized service to Lake Como.
The award-winning designer, Patricia Urquiola has combined the natural ambiance of the surrounding environment with comfort and luxury, resulting in a design that embodies all spectrum’s of luxurious accommodation. Inspired by the color of the lake and its glistening water, the nature of the dramatic mountains, and the adjacent village of Torno. A 30-suite hotel surrounded by the Italian Alps, reinterprets the rationalism of the Casa del Fascio by Giuseppe Terragni, with a contemporary accent. The materials are all-natural and mainly local: like Pietra di Fossena for the pavement and Ceppo Lombardo for the facade and some interiors.
